Children will bear the brunt of a looming eviction crisis

Educators know that student transience disrupts learning. Some experts now estimate that millions of schoolchildren who live in rented homes could face evictions by September 30 unless policymakers enact aggressive relief measures. The resultant student moves could be especially problematic in a metro area like Kansas City, which includes at least 20 school districts and straddles two states.
