With the extra money we raise, we will send photographers on at least eight additional stories in 2016. They say pictures are worth a thousand words, but we can’t afford to keep a full time photographer on staff. The money you donate today will help us to nearly double our freelance photography budget.
The Hechinger Report produces hundreds of stories (over 500 already this year) from classrooms and campuses across the country. Our small, but dedicated staff of expert reporters and editors operate on a frugal nonprofit budget to produce award winning stories reported on the ground from far flung schools and campuses.
