Marquita Brown is a reporter based in Greensboro, N.C. She is a Mississippi native, a product of the state's public schools, and a graduate of the University of Mississippi. She has worked at daily newspapers in Roanoke, Va., Jackson, Miss., and in Greensboro. Her reporting has sparked changes to state law, exposed wrongs and won awards.
