Aaricka Washington is a national education reporting intern who holds a B.A. in journalism from Indiana University and an M.S. from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. In her past life, she was a seventh grade history and writing teacher at an all-girls school in Houston. Her greatest accomplishment to date was getting teenagers to buy in to her corny (though catchy) songs about hooks, topic sentences and paragraphs.
